September 16, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Mason’s graduate program in Bioengineering will host an information session and workshop for prospective applicants to the NSF GRF program on September 16, 2016.  This event is open to all interested Mason students, including graduate students and upper-level undergraduates in NSF-eligible fields, as well as faculty members or others interested in learning more about the program.  The workshop will be conducted by Dr. David Coppola, Professor of Biology at Randolph Macon College and former NSF Program Officer.  The focus of the workshop will be strategies for putting together a competitive application package for the GRFP competition.  The application deadline for the 2017 round of this competition falls in late October, 2016.

The workshop will consist of two hour-long work sessions separated by a 15-minute break.  Those who cannot stay for the entire session are welcome to attend only part of the program.

For more information about NSF GRFP, please visit:  Please note that this program has very specific eligibility rules; interested students are urged to check their eligibility status at the web site before deciding to attend this event and/0r applying to the GRFP.
