Fulbright Information Session – FAIRFAX

March 29, 2013 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come and learn more about opportunities to engage in overseas research, independent study, or English teaching through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program!

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers graduate students and graduating seniors opportunities to conduct research and independent study in over 140 countries worldwide.  Opportunities to become an English language teaching assistant are also offered in a long and growing list of countries.  The Fulbright program is open to U.S. citizens in all fields of study who will have earned a bachelor’s degree — but will not yet have completed a PhD or other terminal degree — by the start date of the award.  This session will cover eligibility requirements, types of grants available, deadlines, and the application process.

Students who hope to apply in the 2013-14 application cycle are strongly encouraged to attend an information session in Spring 2013, since it is usually necessary to begin work on the application during the summer prior to the program deadline in early fall 2013.

RSVP is not necessary, but if you have questions please contact the Director of Graduate Fellowships, Dr. Kay Ágoston, at or 703-993-3131.  More information on the Fulbright U.S. Student program may be found at:
