Advocacy Project Summer Peace Fellowship Program Information Session

March 2, 2016 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

The Advocacy Project (AP) is recruiting graduate students to serve with AP’s overseas partner organizations for 10 weeks in the summer of 2016.  An information will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, 3:30-4:30 pm in Metropolitan Building 5183 at GMU’s Arlington campus.  All interested Mason graduate students are welcome to attend.  Program representatives and a GMU graduate student who is an alumna of the program will be available to answer questions.

AP Summer Peace Fellows receive a $1,000 stipend.  Please note that while this sum covers part of the Fellow’s travel expenses, Fellows generally also need to raise some additional funds on their own in order to participate in this program.

The deadline for applying for summer 2016 is March 11, 2016. Read more about our job descriptions and apply now for this competitive opportunity.

From the Peace Fellows Program:  “The Peace Fellow program is the only fellowship program that matches the skills and capabilities of graduate students with the needs of the community-based advocates for peace and human rights. AP services cover story-telling, program management, IT and social media, organization-strengthening, fundraising, and international outreach. Since 2003, AP has deployed 274 Peace Fellows.”
