Fulbright U.S. Student Program 2016

The Office of Graduate Fellowships is now recruiting talented graduate students from all disciplines to apply for the 2016 Fulbright US Student Program competition. Grants are available for students to conduct research or teach English overseas for up to one year.

Dr. Kay Agoston (kagoston@gmu.edu), Director, Office of Graduate Fellowships, is the Fulbright Program Advisor for current graduate students and graduate alumni.

The campus deadline is September 15, 2015 at 11:59pm. To receive an endorsement from George Mason University, the entire application package must be submitted by the deadline. There are no exceptions.  Please note that you must be a US Citizen to apply to this program.  Permanent residents and international students are NOT eligible.

Interested students are strongly urged to attend an information session.  Information sessions will be offered at both the Fairfax and Arlington campuses according to the following schedule:

  • Wednesday, March 25, 6-7pm in Founders Hall 317, Arlington Campus
  • Thursday, March 26, 3-4pm, JC Room D, Fairfax Campus
  • Tuesday, April 21, 3-4pm, JC Room A, Fairfax Campus
  • Wednesday, April 22, 6-7pm in Founders Hall 317, Arlington Campus
  • Wednesday, May 6, 6-7 pm in Founders Hall 317, Arlington Campus (this session will focus on the Fulbright-Clinton Public Policy Fellowship Program)

The Office of Graduate Fellowships offers advising by appointment, with office hours in both Fairfax (M,T, Th, F) and Arlington (W).  Please plan to attend an information session AND review the web sites listed above prior to making an appointment in order to maximize the productivity of our meeting time.
