Opportunity in Diversity: Graduate Fellowships for Underrepresented Minorities

September 10, 2013 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This one-hour workshop will provide information and pointers on graduate fellowship and scholarship opportunities for individuals from groups that are historically under-represented in higher education, including targeted opportunities for African Americans, members of the Latino / Hispanic communities, Native Americans, and Asian Americans, and women in science and engineering fields.

Please note that this session is NOT designed for international students, and many of the competitions discussed are restricted to U.S. citizens and/or permanent residents.

The session will help make students aware of the types of opportunities that exist, how to decide which opportunities are right for them, and how to navigate the application process.  The session will also include a brief introduction to online search tools to help students locate opportunities.

RSVP is requested for planning purposes, but drop-ins will also be accommodated.
