Fulbright US Student Program – Open House / Drop-In Info Session

May 10, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Learn more about opportunities to study, conduct research, or teach English abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program!

A program of the US Department of State, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers FULLY FUNDED opportunities in over 140 countries worldwide.   The Fulbright program is open to U.S. citizens in all fields of study who will have earned a bachelor’s degree — but will not yet have completed a PhD or other terminal degree — by the start date of the award.  This session will cover eligibility requirements, types of Fulbright grants available, deadlines, and the application process.

Applications for Fulbright grants in 2018-19 open on April 3, 2017, with a deadline for GMU students of September 15, 2017.  Students hoping to apply for grants in 2018-19, as well as those who simply wish to learn more, are welcome.

This is a drop-in session where interested students are invited to come and speak informally with Mason’s experienced Fulbright Program Advisors to learn more and answer their questions about Fulbright program opportunities.  Please stop by any time between 10-11 am.  RSVP is not necessary, but if you have questions please contact the Director of Graduate Fellowships, Dr. Kay Ágoston, at kagoston@gmu.edu or 703-993-3131.  More information on the Fulbright U.S. Student program may be found at:  https://us.fulbrightonline.org/

The location for this session is the Honors College Lounge, Mason Hall, Fairfax Campus.  This event is open to ALL students, undergraduate and graduate.  Affiliation with the Honors College is not required.
