Fulbright U.S. Student Program Info Session – ARLINGTON

April 2, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Learn more about opportunities for overseas study, research, and teaching through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program!

This session is open to all Mason students (any level, any program) who find it more convenient to attend an evening session at the Arlington campus.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers graduate students and graduating seniors opportunities to conduct research and independent study in over 140 countries worldwide.  Opportunities to serve as an English language teaching assistant are also offered in a long and growing list of countries.  The Fulbright program is open to U.S. citizens in all fields of study who will have earned a bachelor’s degree — but will not yet have completed a PhD or other terminal degree — by the start date of the award.  This session will cover eligibility requirements, types of Fulbright grants available, deadlines, and the application process.

Students who hope to apply in the 2013-14 application cycle are strongly encouraged to attend an information session in Spring 2014, since it is usually necessary to begin work on the application during the summer prior to the program deadline in early fall 2014.

RSVP is not necessary, but if you have questions please contact the Director of Graduate Fellowships, Dr. Kay Ágoston, at kagoston@gmu.edu or 703-993-3131.  More information on the Fulbright U.S. Student program may be found at:  https://us.fulbrightonline.org/
