Fulbright U.S. Student Program Info Session – Fairfax

April 21, 2015 @ 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Learn more about opportunities to conduct independent research/study or serve as an English Teaching Assistant abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program!

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers graduate students and graduating seniors opportunities to conduct research and independent study in over 140 countries worldwide.  Opportunities to serve as an English language teaching assistant are also offered in a long and growing list of countries.  The Fulbright program is open to U.S. citizens in all fields of study who will have earned a bachelor’s degree — but will not yet have completed a PhD or other terminal degree — by the start date of the award.  This session will cover eligibility requirements, types of Fulbright grants available, deadlines, and the application process.

Applications for Fulbright grants in 2016-17 will open March 31, 2015, with a deadline for GMU students of September 15, 2015.  Students hoping to apply in the next cycle, as well as those who simply wish to learn more, are welcome.

RSVP is not necessary, but if you have questions please contact the Director of Graduate Fellowships, Dr. Kay Ágoston, at kagoston@gmu.edu or 703-993-3131.  More information on the Fulbright U.S. Student program may be found at:  https://us.fulbrightonline.org/
