Critical Language Scholarship Info Session

October 8, 2013 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Learn more about the Critical Languages Scholarship (CLS) program with Mason’s fellowships advisers and a representative of the CLS competition.

CLS is a program of the U.S. Department of State offering opportunities for U.S. citizen students at all levels to participate in fully funded summer programs for Critical Languages.  Programs are offered in Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu.

This session is open to all students interested in learning more about CLS, including both graduate and undergraduate students.  Some language programs offered through CLS accept new beginners, so students at all levels of study are welcome to attend the session, as well as students considering CLS for a future year.  A representative of the CLS program will be offering information and taking questions from students at this session.

The deadline for CLS summer 2014 programs is November 15, 2013.   Application materials are available through the program web site:  http://www.clscholarship.org/
